[How does he go about asking this...? Well, he might as well go all in, right? Though politely. Always politely.]
Excuse me, I have a question for any and all of us who have experienced immortality.
Were you always immortal? If not, what was it like for you to first taste immortality? I understand the condition isn't a given in Ellipsa, but it does hold true in my world. My Master was immortal and now I wish I had asked her about it thoroughly.
[Cultivation is unique (particularly of the type he and Xue Yang practiced) and poor Xingchen is trying to adjust.]

Though seems Ellipsa makes mortals of us all. What a concept!
Text
Do you know much about mortals?
Re: Text
I know a lot about their worst traits. Though I have also been shown even the worst souls can have good inside them.
Mortals are complicated.
Text
Yes, they are. I don't believe there are any beyond redemption, but they must want it.

In my world you can with magic peaches from the celestial realm. And other ways. Monkey King is like ten ways immortal or something like that.

I was born immortal. I technically have a way to "die", but it requires a specific process only authorities of my world can perform. Not to mention we have no idea what really happens to us so we aren't even sure we can call it dying.
[text]
Can the process be circumvented? If you return in the same condition you left, it is not a true death.
UN: Airplane
But otherwise? It didn't feel all that different? I think forming my core felt like a bigger impact.

[He can only presume he had strong Cultivator parents.]
I never foresaw myself gaining immortality. Of course I work towards it because it requires the best from me. All I ever wanted was to help people.

[Says the immortal immortal who looks young enough to get mistaken for his own disciples.]
Well, perk of being immortal is you get to help folk longer, right? I know I'd be all bent and wrinkly at my age otherwise. Not too useful to people.

I don't really know how to feel about though. It's...hard?

Yes, I imagine so! Do you feel obligated to do as they wish?

[ Hm. He takes a moment to read over that next question. ]
I don't really...have any sense or feelings about what they want? They kind of just merged with my soul and I haven't really heard anything from them since. But I am trying to fix my planet so I guess that's something, right?
