[How does he go about asking this...? Well, he might as well go all in, right? Though politely. Always politely.]

Excuse me, I have a question for any and all of us who have experienced immortality.

Were you always immortal? If not, what was it like for you to first taste immortality? I understand the condition isn't a given in Ellipsa, but it does hold true in my world. My Master was immortal and now I wish I had asked her about it thoroughly.

[Cultivation is unique (particularly of the type he and Xue Yang practiced) and poor Xingchen is trying to adjust.]

(1) are there any available facilities suited to mechanical engineering or computer programming that are open to free use?

(2) are permits required for tamed beasts to hunt in the surrounding forests, or are they free to do as they please?

(3) has anyone held captive here attempted to leave the boundaries of the various cities?
- if yes: are there consequences for attempting to leave?

(4) has anyone attempted communicating with their home?
- if yes: have you been successful?

[ the message is not signed, nor does seto bother with saying hello.

he's gone through as much information as he possibly can, and is familiar with the basic idea of the guilds... but playing a little stupid will spark conversation, and getting to know the people who know the ins and outs of this prison is only going to work to his advantage. in domino city, he needn't bother with pretenses; everyone knew who he was, and how much power he wielded, and therefore, people generally moved out of his way. here, he is (relatively) anonymous, and so will need to work twice as hard to get what he needs without his typical resources.

most importantly, however, is that he is going to lose his mind of boredom if he doesn't have an outlet, and piecing together the puzzle of this place is as good an outlet as any. it will distract him from the skin crawling feeling that he has no control in this place, and if there is one thing seto does not do well with, it is being told he has no choice.

so clearly, the answer is to build something. ]

Do you like your spouse's other spouses/your boyfriend/girlfriend's other boyfriends/girlfriends?

Oryou is conducting a survey.

[This is a perfectly reasonable question that won't confuse anyone, surely.]

[After his analysis of the darkness and learning from the others he'd spoken with when he first arrived, Relius allowed himself a few days of respite. Now he is ready to introduce himself. The custom appeared to span multiple dimensions where Outlanders would find themselves pulled into these worlds. There was a logic to it. He'd browsed through the network some before he turned on the camera. No one from his world was here nor any familiar faces from Nautilus.

Capital. He didn't need their interference poisoning the well. The video starts out in front of the Research Center. He is dressed as he always is, cape and opera mask included. He looks at the camera though his eyes are hidden by the mask itself. Still, it is obvious where his focus is.]

Greetings. I am Relius Clover. A scientist and researcher by trade. Though my rank holds no standing here, I am a Colonel in the Research and Development department of the Novus Orbis Librarium. Most referred to the organization as the NOL.

I have recently arrived in this world. As such, I will dispense with the usual formalities of asking about the mundane. I am certain many of you have answered the questions enough for one lifetime. The literature provided adequately explained it all. I have but one inquiry. Is combatting the darkness the only reason those in power brought Outsiders to this world? I must admit, the congregation of so many powerful souls raises questions. I wonder what others think and what evidence has formed your hypotheses.

That is all.
