How do you improve other people's self-esteem?

I suppose that's what therapy is for.

It's important to understand why they struggle with self-esteem before you seek to improve it.

Oryou has been thinking about it for a while. One of her friends apologized because they were dumped for stopping pretending to be another person. That was stupid.

He was trying to act like another person so that they would like him more, and when he started acting more like himself they dumped him. And he says he was bad and wrong for acting like himself.

He was wrong for acting like someone else. But it's pointless to worry about those uninterested in who you really are.

Oryou is. Because they don't like themself enough to take care of themself, so Oryou will take care of them instead.

Perhaps you can ask them to think about what they like about themselves. Sometimes that helps people to focus on their strengths.
