But they don't just end up that way. And it's never what they actually want. If you look at all of them like they're just villains to be thwarted, then you're not fixing the real issue. No amount of punching or shooting or any of that will make a real difference. Locking them up and throwing away the key doesn't work either.

Maybe I am naive. But, I'd rather try to help people than give up on them.

I never said I did. Incapacitate and rehabilitate.

I'm not good at a lot of things, but I was given this body for a reason. The real heroes can do the work of helping them. Of changing the world so they don't get made again. I can just do my best to be kind when I take them down. Maybe it helps.

Rehabilitation never works, they only ever try that shit so they can get close to Heroes and beat them. They try to play nice to get what they want, and you'll only get yourself hurt if you try to befriend any of them.

Are you sure it never works? Did you ever check in on them all? What about the ones that get defeated and then you never see them again? How many just stop being villains and you stop caring?

I don't care how many times I might get hurt. I've been bruised and broken and shot. It doesn't matter if they don't take my hand when it's offered. The point is that it needs to be offered. They need a choice. They need someone to care.

And if heroes don't care, then I don't want to be one.

They NEVER stop being Villains! They NEVER stop trying to win! I've yet to meet a single Villain who stopped and tried to do something worthwhile for once in their lives! They just band together and mope around about being hated by society, while also trying to hurt the very people they complain about!

They'll kidnap you if you look useful to them, and they'll act nice and sweet and tell you that they just want to be accepted and that they're rejects just like you just so they can use your power to hurt the people you care about! I don't trust any of them!

[It's... a moment before he gets any response. Katsuki didn't realize he was being that obvious until it's been pointed out, and that sympathy feels like a knife stabbing right into his pride.

He's been better at accepting things like sympathy or praise, but with such a personal thing being pointed out he's.. taken aback.]

Shut up. Nothing happened to me. I've just seen some shit. That's all.

[Yeah.. he almost expected the probing, so the fact that Legosi instead tries to find a middle ground is.. appreciated, actually. Makes things a lot less embarrassing for Katsuki in the long run.]

I'm starting to learn that. I thought the terms "Hero" and "Villain" were universal, but clearly that's not the case for everyone.

[Or Katsuki is just a bit strong with his ideals.]
