Hello, everyone!
[Guizhong is broadcasting from... somewhere. The sky behind her is flushed pink with golden sunlight shining off the clouds, floating islands visible in the background, a few trees behind her rustling in a soft breeze.
The woman herself is as bright-eyed as ever, surrounded by half-deconstructed technology. Some of it might look familiar - televisions, radios, a toaster, and so on. Some of it has been taken apart beyond all recognition.]
I'm looking for some mechanically-minded folks who would like to join me in... taking some things apart to see how they work? [Look, there's really no better term for what she's doing in here.]
They won't give me an airship to deconstruct, so I'm working through some things here until I can get hold of one. [Famous last words. Evidently she has some sort of plan she hasn't followed through with yet...] I wonder what might make a good next project?

[She laughs a bit.]
I spent a long time building war machines. It's nice to do something so mundane as take these little things apart to see what they do.

[ She's rather curious as so what those things are, as someone with a keen interest in technology and how things work in general. ]
Well, war machines are pretty different from some of the other tech, I'd like to think.

[Guizhong really does have ideas coming out of her ears, but so many things are already catered for that she finds herself fascinated with taking things apart more often than not.]
I've never seen things like much of the technology here.

[It's all very exciting.]

[Asami has tried to help with that goal when she can, but apparently the airship aren't playthings. Hmph.]
You know me, though, I will always help with fiddling with mechanics.

[Sigh!]
But they even strip those for parts before they junk them. What's the point of a carcass when I want the whole thing!?

[Asami thinks for a while.]
I am planning on officially buying my personal airship. If we have enough confidence we can build it back to normal, we could take it apart. Even if it wouldn't be a big one.

That would certainly be a start. If I can demonstrate a level of proficiency in dealing with these airships that would satisfy those overseeing them, then perhaps they would be less likely to keep refusing my requests.

[Honestly, she thinks some things just exist to make everyone's lives more difficult.]

{ which is likely what she can see in the background, along with clanging of machinery and all that jazz. }
I wouldn't mind doing more on that end. I've found cars and buses are pretty interesting to look at so far.

[He's relatively difficult to miss, being as striking as he is. Guizhong herself can be quite plain when dressed conservatively and perhaps has escaped his notice so far.]
I do wish they would be a little more generous with what they'd offer for me to take a look at. I'm not going to break anything.

Usually it helps if you offer a trade in return. Not sure how it is here, but money tends to get people to loosen up to the idea.

Humans...
[She shakes her head.]
You make a fine point, as much as it rankles that I should have to pay for something that nobody sees value in until I happen to want it.

Unless you were talking about something else?
no subject
[Only because she wants it, of course! If they can sell it to her, then they will.]

[The woman gives a wry smile, very much audible in her tone.]
Good sir, I'm not going to beg you. You're either willing or you're not.
